Part Three of Saving Money on Speech Therapy Resources

Free speech therapy resources are plentiful but I never realized how many are available for free until I started my own Teachers Pay Teachers store.  You can find free speech therapy activities in both printable PDF and digital formats.

If you are looking for free Boom Cards™ I would recommend looking at the Boom Learning store instead of on TpT.  There are free Boom Cards on TpT but not all of the free ones will be on TpT.  All of the free Boom Cards will be on the Boom Learning site.  Find directions for finding free Boom Cards in my other blog post here.

Find Free Speech Activities on TpT

First, you need to go to TpT.  If you have favorite TpT authors make sure you are following their stores on TpT.  That will help TpT know what to show you when you do your search. If you would like to follow my TpT store.  You can do so at this link.  The place to start your search for free speech resources is teacherspayteachers.com.

Use the search bar at the top to type in what you are looking for.  It is good to be specific because there are so many free resources you will want to narrow it down.  I typed in “vocalic r sentences”.

Now start narrowing your search by selecting FREE under the Price section on the left side of the screen and you can go to the Subject section above Price.  Chose SPECIALTY and then SPEECH THERAPY AND SPECIAL EDUCATION in the drop down box.

You can also specify grade levels if you want to narrow your search further.

How to Download your Free Resources

This search will find you more than 20 free resources related to your search on the first of many pages.

Next select the free resource you want to download. Click the green download button and it will download the resource to your computer and it will be also saved in your purchases on your TpT account.

How to Organize your Free Resources

I know I really have a lot of speech resources and sometimes I can’t find what I need in my office.  Do you have the same problem?  TpT has a great way to keep your free and purchased resources organized.  You can create a collection in the My Purchases section of your account.   This allows you to find them easily so you can go back to redownload them any time.

Go into your account button in the upper right corner and select My Purchases from the drop down list.

It’s like a Pinterest board for your TpT purchases.

Select Add to Collection from your purchase and create a collection with any category you want.  You can make it very specific like “Articulation Late Sounds” or more general like “Speech Therapy”.  Later if you are searching for your free or paid resources you can look it up by collection and download what you need quickly.

Now my new free resource has been added to my Vocalic R and Articulation collection on TpT where I can easily find it later.
